Glengoyne – 12 Year Old

Glengoyne 12 Year Old is a single malt made at Glengoyne Distillery, which has produced whisky on the Highland-Lowland boundary since 1883. It is matured for twelve years in hand-selected sherry casks. Two things shape the spirit: the distillery's slow distillation, described as the slowest in Scotland, and the use of unpeated, air-dried barley, so there is no smoke. The whisky is certified vegan. On the nose there is coconut oil, honey, lemon zest and dried oak. The palate offers toffee apples, cinnamon, ginger, orange and shortbread, followed by a finish of sherry and soft oak.
