This is a 21 year old Glengoyne from the 2021 release, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in sherry casks, predominantly first fill European oak.
The nose offers red apples, spicy strudel, toffee, sherry and dried fruit, with a Christmas cake character. On the palate there is sherry, honey and oak, with a developing aromatic note that ends in a cinnamon nip. The finish is long, spicy, warm and dry, with sherry running through it.
