Glengoyne – Cask Strength Batch 10 (70cl, 59.5%)

This is Batch 10 of the Glengoyne Cask Strength series, a limited annual release that here marks a decade of the range. It is bottled at cask strength, 59.5%, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in a mix of American and European oak, drawn from Oloroso, refill and bourbon casks. It is described as rich and fruity. The nose is malty, with apple pie, peach, vanilla, nutmeg and white chocolate. The palate is full and balanced, with buttery toffee popcorn, banana, oak and fruit. The finish is long, with summer fruits and kiwi.
