Glengoyne – Cask Strength Limited Edition (70cl, 59.5%)

This is Glengoyne Cask Strength, a Highland single malt from the distillery's annual limited release series. Batch 010 marks ten years of the series. It is bottled at 59.5%, the strength it comes from the cask, after maturing in a combination of American and European oak. The result is a rich, fruity whisky in the house style of Glengoyne. The nose offers fresh, crisp apple and juicy blackberries. On the palate there are slices of vanilla custard, and the finish is long and lingering, rich in honey and threaded with fresh citrus.
