Glengoyne – White Oak 24 Year Old Single Malt (70cl, 47.8%)

Glengoyne White Oak 24 Year Old is a limited single malt bottled at 47.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's second release matured in White Oak casks, a combination of first-fill bourbon and virgin American oak. The whisky is non-chill-filtered. Glengoyne sits on the boundary between the Highlands and the Lowlands and is known for the slowest distillation in Scotland. That slow distillation is credited with part of the fruit in this bottling. The nose is rich, with vanilla, toasted oak, lemon curd, honey, plum jam, dried coconut and spiced apple strudel. The palate brings lemon, key lime pie, honeycomb, tropical fruit, soft oak, star anise and chocolate. The finish is long, with candied apples, delicate citrus and oak.
