Kilkerran 12 Year Old is a lightly peated single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the introduction to the Kilkerran range.
The whisky is matured in 70% bourbon and 30% sherry casks.
The nose is sweet, with Turkish delight, pear drop and subtle peat smoke. The palate brings lemon cheesecake, leather and spice, with the oily texture of a Campbeltown whisky. The finish carries peat smoke for a long time, with hints of pecan pie and butterscotch.
