Glengyle – Kilkerran Heavily Peated Cask Strength (Batch 11) (70cl, 57.9%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 11 is a cask strength single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at 57.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is peated to around 45PPM and belongs to the distillery's twice-yearly cask strength series. The whisky was matured in 90% bourbon casks and 10% sherry casks. Production is completed on site, with the malt coming from Springbank's floor maltings. On the nose there is lemon curd, key lime pie and toasted rye with woodsmoke. The palate brings toasted marshmallow, campfire embers, vanilla and custard, and the finish is long, mineral and salty as the peat smoke fades.
