Glengyle – Kilkerran Heavily Peated Cask Strength Batch 8 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 58.4%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 8 is a cask strength Campbeltown single malt from Glengyle, bottled at 58.4% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. The name Kilkerran comes from the Gaelic name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his cell, on the site of present-day Campbeltown. The nose is slightly mineral, with peat smoke from the outset and a malty cereal note. The palate has orchard fruits, apple blossom and poached pear, with the peat smoke growing towards campfire embers. The finish is long and sweet.
