First fill Oloroso hogshead
A 17-year-old Glenkinchie from the Lowlands, in a Highland Laird bottling from Bartels Whisky. It comes from a single first fill Oloroso hogshead, distilled on 13 January 2009, and 265 bottles were filled at a cask strength of 56.5% ABV. The nose combines light malt and fine vanilla with ripe apple, juicy pear, sherry and dark raisins. On the palate come toasted almonds, creamy caramel and a malty base, with a dry, firm structure from the Oloroso cask and a light pepper tingle. The finish is long and spicy, with fine oak and a slowly fading dry spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
