This is a 27 year old Lowland single malt, an official Glenkinchie bottling at natural cask strength of 58.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of The Floral Treasure group within the Diageo Special Releases 2023, in a limited run.
The whisky matured in refill American and European oak, in a barrel and a butt.
The nose is sweet and delicate, with malt, flowers, caramel, tea, white wine and old books. The palate is oily and bold at the start, with wood, spices, flowers, banana, honey and pepper. The finish is long, leaning towards orange and oak.
