Glenkinchie 27 Year Old is a 2023 Diageo Special Release, bottled that year at 58.3% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in refill American and European oak, in barrels and butts.
The nose is mellow, opening with soft grassiness, sweet apple juice and dusty almonds before citrus and red berries appear. The palate is rich, round and silky without heaviness, adding sweet spices and toasty oak. The finish is long and rich, with an unexpected spiciness.
