This is the Distillers Edition of Glenkinchie, distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2011. It matured in oak casks and Amontillado sherry casks.
The nose brings freshly cut hay and malted barley, with a fine sherry sweetness. On the palate there is sponge cake, raisins and a little dark chocolate, and the finish carries toffee that stays for a long time.
