This is a 12 year old single malt from the Glenlivet Distillery in Speyside, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is matured in both European and American oak casks, and it returned to the range after leaving shelves in 2015.
The character leans towards orchard fruit, fragrant florals and honeyed malt, carried on a creamy mouthfeel.
The nose offers apricot, pineapple, greengages, citrus blossom and toasted teacake. The palate is buttery and rich in vanilla, with the same bright fruit. The finish has a soft crackle of oaky spice and malt, with a hint of red apple.
