This is a 12 year old Glenlivet single malt from Speyside, matured in first fill American oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is a special edition of the 12 year old, and the first fill casks are said to give more character and flavour than the regular 12 year old.
Golden in colour, it is floral on the nose with vanilla. The palate brings vanilla, buttery coconut flakes and ripe pears, and the finish is gently spicy with almonds and warm oak.
