Glenlivet 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40%. It has matured in a combination of first and second fill American oak and sherry casks, and it has won two golds at the International Wine and Spirits Competition.
The nose is quite big and well rounded, with chewy sultanas, sherried peels, barley sugar, toasty cereals, petals and apple blossom, plus a touch of fudge and wisps of smoke. On the palate it is full and rich, with tannic oak, Manuka honey, walnut, Cox's apples, orange peel and cut herbs such as fennel and spearmint. The finish is long and dry, with spicy oak.
