This is a Glenlivet distilled in 1961 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in the 1990s, under the George & J.G. Smith's All Malt label. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. The nose has chocolate and prunes at its centre, with liquorice, tar, pitch and lovage, and a character close to old Demerara rum. On the palate come prunes, liquid chocolate and Corinthian raisins in a sherried style. The finish is long, on smoked prunes, with a salty touch in the aftertaste.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
