This is a 1974 Glenlivet, a Speyside single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Original 'Cask' range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 57%.
The nose brings wood smoke, honey-glazed apple pie, roasted almonds and marmalade, with a little hay appearing when water is added. On the palate it is honeyed raisins, brioche, baklava and more marmalade. The finish is fairly long, ending on honey cake.
