This Glenlivet Glassachoil is a 14-year-old single cask edition. The whisky matured in a single sherry cask and was bottled at cask strength in 2016.
Sultana and dried fruit sweetness, along with a faint reddish tint, points to the sherry cask it came from. The colour is pale gold.
The nose is sharp and grassy, with green apples, damp chalk, gooseberries, a little vanilla and a hint of raisins. With water it turns towards porridge, muesli and oak sap. The palate is sweet, with dried fruit and sultanas, and the finish is medium and fruity.
