Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is a 12-year-old Highland single malt in a 75cl bottle. It is the distillery's first whisky finished in French Calvados casks and the fifth release in the Barrel Select series of small-batch single malts.
The whisky spent more than ten years in American white oak bourbon casks, then moved into casks that had held Calvados du Pays d'Auge from Normandy for 20 years.
The nose offers baked apples, pears, vanilla and almond, with jasmine, narcissus and heather honey appearing when water is added. The palate is oily and spicy, with baked pear, toffee apple and almond marzipan, and the finish is long and slightly cooling.
