The Infinita is an 18 year old single malt from Glenmorangie, in a 75cl bottle. It is the work of Dr Bill Lumsden, the distillery's whisky maker, and it is matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is tangy, with caramelised citrus and a floral note of honeysuckle, narcissus and jasmine. The texture is soft and oily, giving way to nuts and spices, dates, figs and a hint of wood smoke. The long finish pairs the sweetness of dried fruit with the dryness of Oloroso.
