Glenmorangie – 13 Years Old Cognac Finish (70cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie 13 Years Old Cognac Finish is a Highland single malt from the Barrel Select Release series, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, then spent four years in selected former Cognac casks from France. It is described as a contrasting malt of clove pepper, leather and mild fruit. The nose offers apple pie and toffee, then baked apples, oranges and pears. A little water brings out butterscotch, sweet pastries, beeswax and mint. On the palate there are toffee apples, baked pears, almonds and mandarins, given depth by cloves, star anise and soft leather.
