Glenmorangie – 1999 Rare Cask #9 (70cl, 44.8%)

Glenmorangie Rare Cask #9 is a 1999 single malt from the Tain distillery in the northern Highlands, an original distillery bottling at 44.8% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery began in 1843 in a converted brewery and was rebuilt in 1887. Its whisky has a reputation for never having been sold to blenders. Glenmorangie owns its own forests for cask wood and has played a large part in the use of different types of wood and cask in whisky making. Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy is its present owner.
