The Nectar is a 16 year old Glenmorangie single malt, bottled at 46%. It spends 14 years in ex-bourbon casks and then two more in a finish of sweet white wine casks: French Sauternes and Montbazillac, Spanish Moscatel and Hungarian Tokaji.
The whisky was inspired by the memory of walking into a French patisserie.
On the nose it is sweet, with honeycomb, orange syrup and brioche, balanced by a gentle touch of spice. The palate brings baked brioche, orange syrup, honeycomb and vanilla, with a hint of nutmeg.
