Glenmorangie 16 Years The Nectar D'Or is a 16-year-old Highland single malt. Fourteen of those years were spent in ex-bourbon casks.
The last two years were in a combination of sweet white wine casks: Sauternes and Monbazillac from France, Moscatel from Spain and Tokaj from Hungary. They add orchard fruit and buttery pastry, syrupy dessert notes and nuttier, honeyed tones.
The nose is rich, with brioche, baked apricot and vanilla custard. The palate is full and syrupy, with honeycomb and orange syrup, and the finish is long, with lemon peel and a touch of honeycomb.
