Glenmorangie – 18 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

An 18 year old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie's Prestige Range, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spent its first 15 years in American white oak bourbon casks. After that, 30% of the whisky moved to Oloroso sherry casks, while the rest stayed in bourbon casks, and the two parts were reunited at 18 years. The nose is creamy and tangy, with citrus, cinnamon, stewed fruits and caramel-drizzled pannacotta. The palate is tropical and creamy, with nectarines in yogurt, acacia honey, peaches in cream and butterscotch. The finish is tangy oak and grilled grapefruit with dark caramelised sugar.
