Glenmorangie – 18 Year Old Earlier Labels (Japanese Label) (75cl, 43%)

This is an 18 year old Glenmorangie single malt from the Highlands, an earlier bottling carrying a Japanese label. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV. The distillery began selling its whisky as a single malt in 1959, after years of supplying blends such as Highland Queen. By the time of this 1990s bottling, the Sixteen Men of Tain, who ran the distillery for decades, had helped make Glenmorangie one of Scotland's leading single malts. Whiskies from the 1990s are known for a weightier side of the distillery's honeyed character.
