A Tale of the Forest is a limited edition single malt from Glenmorangie, inspired by the woodland near the home of Dr Bill Lumsden, the distillery's creative director. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is as rich as the forest itself, with resinous pine and juniper, nutty malt and woody spice, and a low hint of smoke in the distance.
The palate is full, with menthol and orange peel, a little hibiscus and vanilla pod, and aniseed and smoky toffee behind. The finish is long, with candied citrus, more pine, sturdy barley and delicate oak charcoal.
