Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter is a 13-year-old single malt finished in Marsala wine casks from Sicily. Dr Bill, the distillery's director of whisky creation, conceived it while snowed in at home, aiming to capture the feeling of sitting by a fire as snow falls outside.
The opening is light, with fruit and honey. Cocoa dust, red pepper and brazil nut toffee build on the palate, and the long finish carries cinnamon, ginger and clove.
