Glenmorangie Duthac is a single malt without an age statement, in a 100cl bottle at 43% ABV. It was made for travel retail and named after Saint Duthac, who is buried near the distillery in Tain. It is the first release in the Legends Collection.
The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks and was part finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and charred virgin oak. Colour has been added and it is chill-filtered.
The nose is led by fruit: pear, candied apple, nuts and toffee with a little toasted oak. The palate brings milk chocolate, toffee, leather, a touch of aniseed, ginger and cloves. The finish has vanilla, apricot, cream and a hint of marzipan.
