Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is a 14 year old single malt whisky bottled at 46% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, which the makers say adds aroma and mouthfeel.
Ten years of its maturation were spent in American white oak casks that had held bourbon, before the whisky was moved into ruby port pipes from the quintas, or wine estates, of Portugal.
The port finish brings chocolate notes to the smooth Glenmorangie style, with a velvety depth on top of the fruity character from the first casks.
