Glenmorangie – Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old (70cl)

Quinta Ruban is a 14 year old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, which sits on the shore of the Dornoch Firth. It spent ten years in bourbon casks, followed by four years in Ruby port casks. That second period gives the whisky its striking colour and part of its character. The name refers to a quinta, a wine estate in Portugal, and to Ruban, an old Celtic word for ruby. It is described as rich and intense, with full, complex layers of fruit, sweetness and spice.
