Glenmorangie Signet is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% without chill-filtration. It has no age statement, though it is said to include some of the distillery's oldest stocks, from 35 to 40 years old.
It marries whiskies made from two kinds of malted barley: a single estate Cadboll variety and malted chocolate barley. It was twice distilled in copper pot stills and matured in bespoke American virgin oak casks.
The nose offers chocolate raisins, sugared mixed peel, toasted spices and bread and butter pudding. The palate brings cinnamon, malt, a hint of Terry's Chocolate Orange, lychees and dates, and the finish dries with a touch of truffle oil.
