Glenmorangie – Tarlogan Legends (70cl, 43%)

This is a limited edition Glenmorangie single malt, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is named after the Tarlogie spring, which has supplied the distillery's water since 1843. The whisky was matured in both virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks, and is described as bringing to mind botanical aromas, like a summer woodland walk early in the morning. The tasting notes mention cream caramel, vanilla, coconut and malted biscuits on the nose. The palate is soft and silky, with vanilla custard, pear, pineapple and citrus. The finish brings ginger, then white chocolate and almond marzipan.
