Glenmorangie – Tribute 16 Year Old Limited Edition (1L, 43%)

Glenmorangie Tribute is a 16 year old Highland single malt in a limited edition, bottled at 43% in a one-litre bottle for travel retail. It is a very lightly peated whisky, made as a nod to the time when Glenmorangie dried its barley over peat fires. It spent all 16 years maturing in former American bourbon casks. On the nose there are fresh flowers, gentle smoke, vanilla and pronounced moss, with toasty notes, lemon and orange. The palate is mild and sweet, with vanilla cream, pears, almonds and star anise, set against fennel, grapefruit and salted caramel fudge. A subtle smokiness in the finish gives way to citrus, vanilla and toffee.
