Glenmorangie – Triple Cask Reserve

Glenmorangie Triple Cask Reserve is a Highland single malt matured in three types of cask: bourbon, new charred oak and rye. It is made with mineral-rich water from the Tarlogie Springs and distilled in giraffe-shaped stills, which give a fruity spirit. The bourbon and charred oak casks bring out the fruity sweetness of the distillery's style, while the rye casks add savoury notes and subtle spice. The three are blended together. The nose is lush and tropical, with pear, vanilla, candied orange peel, honeysuckle and grapefruit, plus soft cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. The palate is creamy and viscous, with crème brûlée and orange sorbet, then gentle spice and tropical notes. The finish is rich, sweet, spicy and a little chewy.
