Glenmorangie – Tùsail Private Edition 6 (70cl, 46%)

Tùsail is the sixth release in Glenmorangie's Private Edition series of limited and unusual malts, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name is Gaelic for original or source. It was made only from hand-malted Maris Otter, an old variety of winter barley, and matured in ex-bourbon casks. The aim was to let the richer character of that grain stand against the delicate Glenmorangie style. The nose offers stewed fruit, straw, vanilla, sultanas and banana, with a touch of lemonade. On the palate come vanilla, dark chocolate, chestnuts and spice, with a sweet and salty edge. The finish is fruity, fresh and long.
