Glenrothes – 12 Years Soleo Collection (70cl, 40%)

Glenrothes 12 Years is a Speyside single malt from the distillery's Soleo Collection, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry oak casks and bottled in natural colour. The Soleo Collection pays tribute to the way sherry is made, and uses hand-selected casks of the kind traditionally used for sherry. Glenrothes introduced its age-stated, sherry cask malts in 2018, and this 12-year-old is the classic expression, with notes of vanilla, melon, banana and cinnamon. The nose is delicate, with vanilla and banana. Lemon, banana and melon come through on the palate with a fine touch of cinnamon, and the finish is long and sweet, with Galia melon and a little spice.
