This is a Glenrothes single malt from 1986, bottled by Wu Dram Clan at 45.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery lies in the Speyside town of Rothes. William Grant & Co. founded it in 1878, and the Edrington Group is its current owner. In 1922 a fire destroyed warehouse number one, which held more than 2,000 casks. The burning whisky flowed into the Burn of Rothes, right through the middle of the town.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
