This Glenrothes is a 2009 single malt from Duncan Taylor, bottled in its Octave range at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands in Rothes, in Speyside, and was founded in 1878 by William Grant & Co. It now belongs to the Edrington Group. On 15 May 1922 a fire destroyed the distillery's first warehouse, which held more than 2,000 casks. The burning whisky ran down into the Burn of Rothes and through the village.
