This Glenrothes was bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular series. It was distilled in February 2007 and bottled in September 2021 after 14 years in a refill hogshead. It comes at 48.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The release is limited to 385 bottles.
The nose offers Sunday morning toast and honey with heather, peanut butter, butter and dried oak. On the palate, lemon and lime syrup give way to toasted staves and warm blueberry cake. The finish is medium in length, with a very sweet lemon curd quality as sweet barley emerges.
