Glenrothes Select Reserve is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a vatting of malts from different years, matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, both new and used.
Malt Master John Ramsay chose it as the distillery's House Style expression, aiming to show the Glenrothes character of ripe fruit, citrus, vanilla and spice.
The nose is ripe orchard fruit and citrus, with vanilla and soft oak from the bourbon casks and dried fruit from the sherry casks. The palate is round and medium-bodied, with gentle spice. The finish is clean, with lingering fruit and spice.
