Glenturret – 12 Years

Glenturret 12 Years is a single malt from the Glenturret distillery at Crieff, on the River Turret in Perthshire. It spent twelve years in European oak, which shapes its flavour. The whisky is spicy and oily, with a good measure of orchard and other fruit to balance it. The nose offers toasted tea cake with raisins, cinnamon and oily roasted nuts. On the palate there is spiced, stewed apple with candied ginger, and waxy citrus peel adds warmth. The finish is dry and spicy, full of toasted oak.
