The Drover is a Highland single malt from the GlenWyvis distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46.5% ABV. It has spent time in a Madeira cask. GlenWyvis was founded in 2015 near Inverness and is wholly community owned. A crowdfunding campaign with more than 3,600 supporters funded the £3.8 million project and brought distilling back to Dingwall after 90 years. The distillery is completely off the grid, running on renewable energy and using local barley, long fermentation and traditional copper stills. The house character is robust, fragrant and fruity, and the first whisky appeared at the end of 2021.
