Gold Label DeLuxe is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1980s, also known as Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve. It is built around a core of Clynelish single malt, with spirit from Cardhu and Blair Athol and grain whisky from Cameronbridge, all chosen for their sweet, honeyed character.
The nose combines honey, heather, thick caramel and a little nutmeg, with dried meadow flowers and a hint of fresh banana. The palate is smooth and succulent, honeyed and floral, with spiced vanilla. The finish is long, sweet and toffee-like.
