Golden Rare is a 10 year old malt Scotch whisky from the 1970s, bottled by Alexander Blending Co. Ltd. at 70 proof, around 40% ABV. It was originally released for the Italian market. The nose offers lemon bon bons, honey and shortbread, with faint vanilla pod and custard. The palate is rich and creamy and full in body, with yellow plum, sultanas, fruit cake and honey, a touch of oaky bitterness and a subtle fruity fizz. The finish is sweet and lively, with decent length.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
