This is a single cask Caol Ila from Islay in Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 1988, matured for 32 years in a refill American hogshead and bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 52.7%. The outturn was 222 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered, with no colour added.
The nose brings green apple, kiwi and cinnamon. On the palate there is toasted almond, strawberry and chilli, giving way to milk chocolate. The finish is long and smooth, with a touch of smoke.
