This is a 17 year old Caol Ila from the Islay distillery, selected for the Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice range. It was distilled in 2007, matured in a refill sherry butt and bottled on 13 March 2025 at 57.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose moves from apple and lime to strawberry jam and cinnamon. Toffee and smoke lead on the palate to stewed apples and pepper. The finish is full and spicy, with citrus and bonfire embers.
