This is a 40 year old Glenlivet from the 1980 vintage, bottled by Gordon & Macphail in its Private Collection range. It is a single-cask release, and only 145 bottles were filled, in 70cl.
Private Collection casks are chosen by the company's directors, who include the third and fourth generations of the Urquhart family. Each label carries the cask number, vintage and natural strength of the whisky inside.
