Gouden Carolus Bajan is a Belgian single malt released in 2021 to mark the 8th anniversary of Distillery De Molenberg. The name comes from the Creole language of Barbados. Two types of rum barrel were chosen for this edition. The oldest casks, with more than five years of maturation, give full-bodied, smooth notes of sultanas and honey. Younger rum barrels from Barbados were blended in and add a mix of spicy notes. The result is a balanced whisky with a mellow flavour and a tropical touch at the end.
