Gouden Carolus Esmeralda 2019 is a whisky from Belgium, made to mark the sixth anniversary of the Molenberg distillery. The release is 8000 bottles. The whisky matured for 30 months in bourbon casks, then spent 48 months finishing in Madeira wine casks. The Madeira finish is the longer of the two stages, at four years against two and a half years in bourbon.
